eIF3I is a novel theranostic target in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Dr. Yuh-Shan Jou, Postdoctoral Researchers Drs. Yi-Wei Wang and Kuen-Tyng Lin and colleagues identified a novel eIF3I-Akt1 protein interaction which is required for eIF3I-mediated constitutive activation of Akt1 oncogenic signaling by preventing PP2A-mediated Akt1 dephosphorylation.
