Web Security and Privacy Protection Policy
Welcome to the “World wide Web site of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS)”! In order to assure the security and provide privacy for the users of its web site, IBMS has established this Web Security and Privacy Protection Policy.

Notice:
This policy applies only if you are browsing the IBMS Web site. It does not apply to any activity that you might initiate by linking to a different Web site.. The protection of your personal data while browsing other Web pages will depend on the individual privacy policies of the sites involved.

Web Security:

IBMS server has a Firewall, an Invasive Detection System (including the network flow monitor and the anti-virus software program) and Daily System Backup Operational in place to protect the IBMS Web site’s safety and service quality. The IBMS Web site security infrastructure will be updated from time to time in response to the latest security upgrade issued by the respective security software vendor. Users are advised to take precautions to safeguard their usernames, passwords, and personal data as well as pay attention to the potential risks of web-based communication to prevent malicious software attack or data theft.

IBMS will not collect personal information if its web users ONLY browse or download files from the IBMS Web site.
IBMS’ site server automatically records users’ IP addresses, duration of visit, and site pages browsed. The collected information is used by the site manager for statistically and collectively analyzing the web site traffic and user behavior in order to further improve the web site service quality. Analyzing on individual information is strictly prohibited.
Use of Cookies:
This site will read and write the cookies in the users’ computer browser in order to count the number of visitors and analyze their browsing habits for web service improvements.
