3.3-biotin Data Sheet

Description: Mouse anti-PEG
Specificity: Polyethylene glycol
Other names: PEG
Format: Purified
Product Type: Monoclonal Antibody
Clone: 3.3
Isotype: IgG1
Species: mouse
Price: see price list

3.3-biotin Product details

3.3-biotin is a second generation IgG1 anti-PEG monoclonal antibody. This antibody displays high affinity for the PEG backbone and can be employed as a detection antibody for the quantification of PEG.

Applications

This product has been reported to work in the following applications, The information is derived from experiments performed in our laboratory as well as from personal communications.

Yes No Not Determined
ELISA

g

Western blotting g
Flow cytometry g
PEGylated liposomes g
Immunohistochemistry   g
PEGylated quantum dots g
Free PEG

free PEG can be detected onimmunoblots and if coated in microtiter plates. Free PEG is detected poorly by ELISA.

Product Form Purified IgG liquid
Preparation Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography
Buffer solution 50% glycerol in phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4
Preservative 0.02 % sodium azide (NaN3)
Immunogen Conjugate of an antibody and PEG-modified E. coli β-glucuronidase
Fusion partners Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice and FO myeloma cells

Specificity

3.3 binds to the repeating subunits of polyethylene glycol. The minimum PEG size that can be bound is ~ 2000 Da. Effective binding is greatly enhanced in PEG conjugates (i.e. PEG-protein, PEG-liposome, PEG-cell, PEG-nanoparticle conjugates).

ELISA

Concentrations of 1-5 µg/ml (50 µl/well) are recommended.

Storage

Store aliquots at -20oC. Antibodies should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
