E11 Product details
AGP3 was the first monoclonal antibody developed with specificity for the repeating subunits present in PEG. This antibody of the IgM class is widely used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for quantification of PEG. A sensitive ELISA can be achieved utilizing E11 as a capture antibody and AGP3-biotin or AGP4-biotin as the detection reagent.

| Free PEG | † |
† free PEG can be detected onimmunoblots and if coated in microtiter plates. Free PEG is detected poorly by ELISA.

| Fusion partners | Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice and FO myeloma cells |
|
Specificity |
E11 binds to the repeating subunits of polyethylene glycol. The minimum PEG size that can be bound is ~ 2000 Da. Effective binding is greatly enhanced in PEG conjugates (i.e. PEG-protein, PEG-liposome, PEG-cell, PEG-nanoparticle conjugates). |
| ELISA |
Coating concentrations of 10-20 µg/ml (50 µl/well) are recommended. AGP3-biotin, 3.3-biotin or AGP4-biotin are recommended for detection |
| Storage |
Store aliquots at -20oC. Antibodies should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
