癌症研究組從事癌症相關之診斷、治療、及致癌的分子機制研究。目前研發重點為延續前期研究成果，並在癌症發生、轉移的分子機制以及研發癌症治療藥劑方向做更深入探討。主要重點如下：
- 肝癌及肺癌基因體學研究。
- 研究無機砷及天然物抑制DNA修復及抗癌之機制。
- 探討細胞週期調控與基因體穩定性在癌細胞形成過程中的角色。
- 探討氧化傷害與發炎反應促進癌症發生及轉移的機轉。
- 探討腸胃道癌症之致病機轉。
- 探討突變的上皮生長因子受體(EGFR)及幹細胞轉錄因子促進肺癌病變之機轉。
- 測試酵素結合前驅藥物的抗癌療法。
- DNA雙功能作用劑之抗癌藥物的研發。
