Manpower and Training Programs

We currently have ~900 people working in the IBMS, including principal investigators (faculty members), research scientists, post-doctoral fellows, students and research assistants. The education and training of future biomedical scientists in Taiwan is an important mission of the IBMS. The post-doctoral fellows/students participate in a number of training courses/workshops as part of their education. Many of our principal investigators have joint faculty appointments in existing master and Ph.D. student programs in Taiwan. In addition, we also collaborate with universities as part of the Graduate Institute of Life Sciences at the National Defense Medical Center, the Molecular Medicine Program in the Taiwan International Graduate program (TIGP), the Molecular Medicine Program at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the Program of Microbial Genomics at the National Taiwan University, and the Translational Medicine programs with several universities.
