Academician Ding-Shinn Chen (陳定信) passed away on 24 June 2020, age 76.

Dr. Chen advocated for widespread preventative measures against hepatitis B, resulting in the establishment of a mass vaccination program. He was the member and chairman of IBMS Academic Advisory Committee and provided advices for many years. And also, had been the chairman of IBMS Director Search Committee. Dr. Chen highly contributed to the important issues and had a deep connection with IBMS.
