MET Inhibitors Promote Liver Tumor Evasion of the Immune Response by Stabilizing PDL1

In HCC, c-MET blockade drives PD-L1 expression and T cell inactivation in immune-competent mice. Thus, anti-PD-1 enhances the efficacy of c-MET blockade in the orthotopic animal model of HCC. Eighty percent of the immunocompetent mice carrying orthotopic liver cancer demonstrated response to the combination.
