β3-Adrenergic receptor gene modifies the association between childhood obesity and asthma.

J Allergy Clin Immunol., Apr 28, 2014

The β3-adrenergic receptor gene (ADRB3) has been reported to be associated with weight gain. 5 The β3-adrenergic receptor would affect the process of lipolysis in white adipocytes. 6 We searched the National Institute of Environment Health Sciences Environmental Genome Project Web site and found that there was only 1 polymorphism (rs4994) on ADRB3 among Han Chinese population.
