【Postdoc Fellow for Two-Photon Neural Imaging】
A joint postdoc fellow/associate position is available in Ching-Lung Hsu Lab (中研院徐經倫實驗室) and Yu-Wei Wu Lab (中研院吳玉威實驗室). Upon satisfactory performance, the first 3 years of appointment will be financially supported by Ching-Lung Hsu Lab. It is supported by an outstanding young scholar grant recently awarded to the Hsu Lab.
We are looking for highly motivated people who preferably have training or experience in biological or two-photon imaging of live samples (tissues or animals), or relevant backgrounds in optics/engineering. Our goal is to establish a state-of-the-art two-photon random-access microscopy pipeline, with fast (near-kilohertz) 3-D scanning capability at the single-neuron level. It is also synergistic efforts between our lab and Allen Institute scientists in the US.
We are a collaborative Systems Neuroscience hub part of the Neuroscience Program of Academia Sinica (NPAS), consisted of two independent groups, the Hsu Lab (https://neuroncomputelab.wordpress.com/) and the Wu Lab (https://wulabimb.squarespace.com/). At an intersection of learning, spatial navigation and sensorimotor control, we are passionate about understanding how computing properties of neurons contribute to complex, memory-guided cognitive functions. We apply an array of cutting-edge techniques including mouse virtual reality (VR), massively parallel extracellular and intracellular electrophysiology in awake behaving animals, two-photon imaging, and computational modeling.

中央研究院生醫所徐經倫實驗室 (https://neuroncomputelab.wordpress.com/)與分生所吳玉威實驗室 (https://wulabimb.squarespace.com/)聯合徵求一位有活組織造影或相關光學工程經驗的博士後研究員,以雙光子顯微鏡進行記憶、認知相關的系統神經科學研究。我們的目標在建立一套獨特的技術與工作流程,得以實現每秒近千次的三維、具突觸解析度的單神經元活動記錄,此為當今腦科技時空解析度的最前沿挑戰。我們的研究團隊均屬於中研院神經科學研究計劃 (NPAS),採取跨尺度、跨領域的多樣方法,例如小鼠虛擬實境 (VR)、次細胞與大尺度活體電生理學、深度學習與計算建模等。在續聘的前提下,前3年的薪資將由徐經倫實驗室全額提供。
