本實驗室主要在發展並應用計算及模擬方法以探討生物分子間的交互作用,尤其著重探討分子的動態變化,並以高效能計算提供X-ray 與NMR 等結構生物實驗未有的資訊,藉以進行較新穎的藥物設計。此外,本實驗室也提供天然物與已在市場上的藥物在過去未知的作用標的之預測,例如在2007年時我們成功地預測了降血脂藥物statins其實也是抗癌標的HDAC的抑制劑。 除了與藥物設計直接相關的研究課題以外,近來本實驗室也運用分子動力學模擬探討分子馬達的作用機制、端粒(telomere)所形成的新穎Quadruplex結構的動態變化、及細胞膜運輸蛋白次分子層級的運作機制等課題。
