My main research objectives are to utilize and develop statistics and machine learning methodologies to carry out quality control of genotyping and disease gene-mapping. As a leader of the Statistics Team of the National Center of Genomic Medicine, I setup the quality control procedures to ensure genotype data accuracy, reproducibility, and consistency. I am currently involved in Taiwan Precision Medicine Initiative (TPMI) and conducting genome-wide association studies (GWASs) to identify risk factors of diabetes, autoimmune and chronic kidney diseases as well as to conduct polygenic risk scores for these diseases.
